Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Coin - 1/2 oz The 2022 Canadian Gold Maple Leaf 1/2 oz coin was produced by the Royal Canadian Mint in Ottawa. Each coin contains 1/2 oz of 999.9 fine gold. The Canadian Gold Maple Leaf was first introduced in 1979 by the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), a corporation wholly owned by the Government of Canada, and has since become one of the world’s most recognized gold bullion coins. More than 25 million troy ounces of Gold Maple Leaf coins have been sold since the series was introduced.
